How has The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints been perceived in Britain over the years? By way of background: On April 6, 1830, an inspiring new Christian faith held their first worship service in America guided by the instruction of Heaven. Seven years later, a small contingent of faithful church leaders on a prophetic mission, arrived in Britain and began introducing this faith from pulpits and porches. Before long, it was received as an answer to the prayers of many, and within a few short years, Britain outshined America for the highest number of LDS members. With heated opposition, along with immigration to America, the numbers in Britain then dwindled. 150 years later however, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has again emerged as a beneficial contributor to the British landscape. What events have shaped this growth and growing acceptance? This film has been produced to document the efforts and faithfulness of the many who have contributed to the growth of this Christian faith within the British Isles.
