Our mission is to provide uplifting FREE, Ad-FREE content.

At BYU Broadcasting (BYUtv, BYUradio, and Classical 89), our mission is to create purposeful, engaging viewing and listening experiences that entertain, inspire, uplift, and improve lives, families, and our communities. We provide this content as a free service to our communities. To help accomplish this mission, we have created websites and apps for smart TVs and TV devices (such as Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV, etc.) and mobile devices (such as Apple and Android) that allow you to watch and listen to thousands of hours of content virtually anywhere. Most of that content is free from ads (except for some live sports content).

We collect aggregated, anonymized data to ensure safety, security, and functionality.

To continue to provide this free service, we need to understand if our apps and websites are working as expected in a safe and secure manner. We need to ensure that content is playing correctly every time you watch or listen. In order to ensure that is happening, we collect aggregated, anonymized data around site and media usage, playback functionality, and account creation and maintenance. Some data associated with keeping your account secure and your privacy choices are stored on your device using cookies. You may choose to block these cookies using settings in your web browser, but you will not be able to stay signed in to your account, and your ability to watch or listen to content on our websites will be greatly reduced.

With your consent when you create an account, we may collect data about what you watch or listen to on our apps and sites and may use that data to communicate to you about other related content you may enjoy. We may communicate these recommendations through emails, in-app notifications, or personalized lists within our apps. We may advertise and promote our free content and apps through third-party marketing partners including, but not limited to, Meta and Google. In order to optimize this type of advertising, these partners typically recommend that we enable them to store data on your device that they can then use to learn about the behaviors of users who come to our sites from one of our ads. These third parties store and retrieve this information about your behavior on your device through technologies such as "cookies" or "pixels". These third parties may also use this data about your behavior to create a profile about you and your behavior on our site and other websites you visit.
