On Aug. 1, 1943, 178 B-24 bombers and crews set out on what would become the most highly decorated military mission in American history: an Allied aerial assault against Hitler's oil refineries deep in enemy territory. Learn the story of World War II pilot Walter Stewart, who took the lead after his commander went down and was able to keep this disastrous mission from failing completely.


Truth and Conviction: The Helmuth Hübener Story

In 1941 Nazi Germany, a 16-year-old boy led a resistance group composed of himself and two young friends from his church branch. The three of them carefully distributed fliers throughout Hamburg denouncing Hitler and his propaganda machine. Miracle at Kap Yong: The Story of the 213th
  • Wednesday, May 21, at 9:30am

Tune in to hear the story of 600 men from southern Utah fighting in the Korean War with the 213th National Guard Field Artillery Battalion. In one particular battle, 240 of these men were attacked by 4000 Chinese soldiers. After the battle, the Utahns found that none of their men had been killed.

Four BYU choirs and the BYU Philharmonic Orchestra honor veterans this month with beloved songs and folk hymns arranged especially for this concert. Under the direction of composers such as Ronald Staheli and Mack Wilberg, the 600 singers and 80 instrumentalists perform songs like "Praise to the Lord," "We’ll Shout and Give Him Glory," and "What Would You Do If I Married a Soldier?"

Shaunna Thompson hosts this documentary on the “Power of the Wasatch,” the BYU Cougar Marching Band. Learn how the members are selected and integrated into the band each year, and see the hours of preparation that each show requires. Also, travel with the 225 members to see them perform at the 2007 Las Vegas Bowl and witness BYU's big win!


CES Fireside with Elder Russell M. Nelson

This month Elder Nelson addresses college-age individuals the world over. He has served as general Sunday School president and was called to the Quorum of the Twelve on April 7, 1984. Elder Nelson is one of the most respected cardiothoracic surgeons in the United States, having served as a director of the American Board of Thoracic Surgeons and president of the Utah Heart Association.


Having Been Born of Goodly Parents
  • Tuesdays starting at 8pm

Learn about how parents can make the home a sanctuary from the world and build positive relationships with children, featuring a focus on the divine role of mothers. Speakers such as Elder Robert D. Hales of the Twelve, former broadcast journalist Jane Clayson Johnson, Sister Patricia T. Holland, and BYU professor Douglas Brinley provide advice and encouragement for those working to build a strong family to counteract the world's influence.

Each summer, women from all over the world travel to BYU campus in Provo, Utah, to participate in BYU’s Women’s Conference. Featured speakers share insights about home, family, marriage, service, and gospel doctrine. BYU Television brings you highlights from this year’s conference, which took place May 1 and 2. This year the theme comes from Moro. 10:30–32, which encourages all to extend their influence for good by coming unto Christ.
