We are aware that some of our Roku users are having issues with the new BYUtv channel. The new BYUtv channel for Roku was designed to work on newer versions of Roku hardware (model numbers > 3500). The Roku Channel Store does not allow us to target specific hardware with our channel updates, but only firmware versions.  This creates the unfortunate effect that older Roku boxes, even when having the newest firmware version, don't handle BYUtv channel updates designed for more capable hardware.

We are so sorry for this inconvenience. If you aren’t happy with how the BYUtv channel is running on your Roku, there are other options to watch the shows you love.

You can download the “BYUtv Classic” channel (our old app) by clicking on the link below.  Please be advised that this channel works fine now and runs great on older Rokus but it is no longer in development and will one day stop working.  At some point, we advise you to upgrade your Roku hardware to something more current (model number greater than 3500).

You can also watch episodes on demand on the BYUtv website by clicking either the "Watch" or "Shows" tabs. You can also watch BYUtv on satellite and cable (Dish, DirecTV, and more) or on our other apps for iOS, Android, Apple TV, and more.

Thank you for your continued support and for watching BYUtv!
