Performances by Q'd Up - BYU School of Music faculty jazz group - are always sure to draw a crowd. This was the case at a recent concert performed at the Tahitian Noni Center in Provo, Utah.
The standing-room-only audience enjoyed a variety of music, including "Amazon Rhapsody," "Perilous Passage," and "Take a Break Jake." Renowed pianist and vocalist Valerie Capers and bass player John Robinson joined Q'd Up to perform Capers's arrangements of Cole Porter's "If It's Alright With Me," and George Gershwin's "I've Got Rhythm."
Whether you're already a fan, or you've never heard this group before, join Ron Brough on vibes, pan, and drums; Matthew Larson on bass; Jay Lawrence on drums; Steve Lindeman on piano and keyboard; and Ray Smith on saxophone, clarinet, and electrical wind instrument as they perform songs from their latest album, Q'd Up Three.
